Job Description

We are looking for production managers who are responsible Managerial planning, maintenance and operations of manufacturing unit. They will be responsible for managing a diverse and talented manufacturing team.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proven work experience as a Manager
• Sound Knowledge on basic machinery and their functions
• A strong ability to be adaptable and flexible
• Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
• Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory
• Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and maintenance needs;
• Previous experience/broad understanding of safety systems and enforcement of safety rules and policies;
• Able to lead root cause analysis investigations
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating plants
• Aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting
• Previous experience/strong understanding of budgeting/expense management with a basic understanding of financial and accounting practices;
• Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills

Role & Responsibility

• Planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day operations
• Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
• Works with Plant Supervisors in planning, budgeting, organizing resources, executing work plans, monitors production and quality, coordinates priorities, resolves issues and participates in special projects and work schedules;
• Provide business leadership that demonstrates commitment to plant goals on a day-to-day basis.
• Meet financial objectives and goals by forecasting requirements, support the annual budget process and Review production costs and production quality and modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operation of plant.
• Direct and lead all operations to achieve monthly profit results with a focus on operations throughput.
• Ensure the safety of operator and machines at all times.
• Keep the raw materials trace ability
• Assist in developing staffing and skill building plan through training and support
• Consult with other departmental resources i.e Logistics, Procurement etc concerning problems affecting productivity and take corrective action
• Prepare and post daily shift schedule as per production requirements
• Conducting regular meetings with plant employees to ensure operational issues are being communicated and addressed expediently with a common understanding of goals.
• Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time delivery
• Prepare, analyze and issue production and performance reports
• Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
• Facilitate and direct maintenance to optimize machinery utilization.
• Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
• Control costs to achieve company budget goals
• Performs other essential functions as assigned.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance program
• Develop and enforce procedures for all employees to attain production goals
• Recommend measures for continuous improvement in order to increase quality, efficiency and safety;
• Ensure plant personnel to Safety program compliance to government and regulatory requirements
• Address employees’ issues or grievances and administer collective bargaining agreements
• Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
• Maintain all administrative records
• Responsible for cleanliness of work area and the general housekeeping of the manufacturing Unit.
